Mission Statement:

The Mission of the San Miguel County Detention Center is:

  1. To provide protection to the public, staff, and inmates by operating a secure and safe institution by maintaining custody and supervision of inmates classified to this institution in a humane manner.
  2. To implement, operate and monitor appropriate programs to support the education and socialization of inmates thru:
    • Adult Basic Education / GED
    • Institutional Work Programs
    • Religious Programming
    • Recreation, Social and Leisure Activities
    • Mental Health Services
    • Alcoholics Anonymous / Narcotics Anonymous – Drug and Alcohol – Chemical Dependency Treatment / Groups
    • Self Help / Self Improvement Group Treatment
  3. To provide a constitutional institution for confinement of inmates

(3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) 		Annex Inmates

Visitation is scheduled Monday thru Friday, with the exception of Holidays
Visits begin at 8:-- AM and end at 4:00 PM.
